The 3rd Annual Hike for Lung Health and Family Fun Fest is a multi-charity walk designed to bring attention to lung disease. Nearly a thousand people will be joining together to walk as teams or individuals to raise money to help the 1 million Chicago and surrounding suburban residents affected by lung disease.

HIKE FOR LUNG HEALTH UPDATE

TOGETHER WE HAVE RAISED $23,006
THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HAVE STARTED THEIR FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGNS!

Fundraising Tip of the Week: Declutter - Offer Savings to Neighbors - Raise Money for a Great Cause!

Host a garage sale this summer! Invite family members, friends and neighbors not only to shop but to donate items to sell.

Let your customers know that the proceeds from the sale will benefit Hike for Lung Health and that the garage sale is a fundraiser. Former participants have raised over $700 at their neighborhood garage sale!

Visit our Fundraising Headquarters for more ideas.

GRAND MARSHAL - RAVI BAICHWAL

Ravi Baichwal co-anchors the ABC 7 Weekend News at 5 and 10 p.m., Chicago's number one weekend newscasts, alongside Karen Jordan.  RHAMC is pleased to announce that Ravi will return as the Hike for Lung Health Grand Marshal again in 2009!

This September, Ravi will hike at our Chicago site in his father's honor. Ravi's father passed away a few years ago from Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) which is the rapid onset of respiratory failure. His father also suffered from Pulmonary Fibrosis. Because of his own personal experience with lung disease, Ravi will serve as our Hike Grand Marshal.
