In 1995, when Eileen was 33 years old, she went to the hospital for lower back pain and only two days later, was on life support. Eileen was diagnosed with sepsis and ARDS. She spent the next nine weeks in the hospital fighting for her life but survived and went on to co-found ARDS Foundation, an organization devoted to raising awareness, education, support and funds for medical research.   Eileen and her family will be at the Hike for Lung Health on September 27th!
