The 3rd Annual Hike for Lung Health and Family Fun Fest is a multi-charity walk designed to bring attention to lung disease. Nearly a thousand people will be joining together to walk as teams or individuals to raise money to help the 1 million Chicago and surrounding suburban residents affected by lung disease. 

HIKE FOR LUNG HEALTH UPDATE

                       Online registration will close on Thursday, September 24th at 5:00 p.m. 
                                           Day of event registration will open at 8:30 a.m. 

                                          EVENT WILL GO ON RAIN OR SHINE!!

Join us for a one or three mile walk to support the lung health community in Lincoln Park or Palatine on Sunday, September 27th!  If you can not make it on event day - join us a virtual walker or consider making a donation.


                                 


In this email you will find helpful links and information to help you get ready for the Hike for Lung Health.  Follow these simple steps to help you prepare to Hike!


Registration Information

Check-in starts at: 8:30 a.m.

All participants are required to check-in on event day at the registration/check-in tent. 
All Hikers must check-in to receive the event t-shirt.  T-shirts are guaranteed for Pre-Registered Hikers only; a limited quantity of t-shirts will be available for event day registration.  Register before the event to guarantee you receive a shirt! 

Please note that the Check-In/ Registration Tent will also include T-Shirt Pick-Up, Lunch Ticket Pick-Up/ Purchase, and Fundraising Pledge Turn-In
.


Walk time: We will walk as a group starting at 10:00 a.m.

Goody Bag Pickup:  10:45 a.m.

After you Hike for Lung Health - enjoy a delicious Picnic Box Lunch made fresh by Jason's Deli. Each lunch is $7.00. Purchase yours today - limited quantities will be available for purchase on event day!

The non-vegetarian option will include a sandwich (choice of Turkey or Ham on White or Wheat), chips, pickle and a small dessert.

The vegetarian option is a Ciabatta Garden sandwich that includes organic field greens, homemade guacamole and pico, cucumbers, red and yellow bell peppers, asiago cheese and low fat balsamic vinaigrette on multigrain ciabatta, chips, pickle and a small dessert.

M
atching gifts: Many companies have a matching gifts program. Make sure to find out if your company does. Inquire with your human resources department and submit those forms to RHAMC. If not, ask them if they’d match your dollars raised through your campaign.

FLU SHOTS



Respiratory Health Association of Metropolitan Chicago conducts an annual campaign to immunize Chicagoland residents seeking to protect themselves against the seasonal flu. The annual flu immunization program is offered in partnership with the Chicago Department of Public Health and the Cook County Department of Public Health.

This year, RHAMC is providing flu shots (for those over 18) at our Hike for Lung Health Chicago location for $25.

Stay healthy this season and get your flu shot early while at Hike for Lung Health.
